1. Mosquitoes

Being in a tropical country, it is difficult to avoid mosquitoes in the outdoors. We do, however, try our best to control these unpleasant insects.

We fog our premises and use residual pesticide regularly. As an added measure against mosquitoes, we fog the premises in the morning of the function day and place citronella candles and mosquito coils all around the canopy. Fans under the canopy will also help to keep mosquitoes at bay.

2. Parking

Rest assured there is enough parking space for about 50 cars at our premises. For bigger functions, we rent (at our cost) Lot 29 of Jalan Tun Razak located before the Headquarters of RHB Bank. Lot 29 is within a short walking distance from Ciao. There will be no parking charges and we even provide our own parking attendant to guide your guests.

In case our car park is full (or you have missed our entrance), use the Kampung Pandan roundabout and make a U-turn at the Royal Selangor Golf Club to get back to our place or to park at Lot 29.

To avoid any parking inconvenience to your guests, suggest on your invitation card: "for parking details visit map at www.ciao.com.my".

3. Weather


Although we cannot control the weather, we try our best to work around it. By choosing to have an outdoor function, we trust that you are prepared for this indeterminate factor, which will cause changes to your planned function. Fortunately, Ciao has both indoor and outdoor facilities (for small functions) so that if the weather lets you down, we will not, as your event will still go on. Here are what we have and what we can do in case of bad weather:

Our canopy is connected from the garden to the restaurant so that if it drizzles, the function can still go on as planned and your booked area can be fully utilised.

For functions with less than 100 pax, we set up the indoor dining area in case the weather does not comply (a minimum spending is required for the exclusive use of both facilities).

Our parking attendants will assist your guests with big umbrellas to guide them to the entrance.

There are plenty of ceiling fans under the canopy to keep you and your guests cool. Remind your guests that it is an outdoor wedding so that they can dress appropriately and enjoy the evening comfortably, and have a good memory of your day.

Keep in mind that you have chosen an outdoor wedding. Propose smart-casual dress code in your invitation card to allow your guests a comfortable and enjoyable time.

4. Decoration

Our picturesque garden dotted with trees, green bushes and a softly-lit fountain is a lovely setting on its own. At minimal charges, we can provide additional decorations from the walkway to the canopy, such as general wedding ornaments, backdrop with fairy lights, tea-light candles, flower stands, table centrepieces, etc.

For a more elaborate finish, we can arrange an appointment with our associate florist who will take pleasure to transform our simple setting into a garden paradise.

5. Food and Beverages

Our set or buffet menus entail a good combination of dishes that will be specially created by our Italian chef in accordance to your budget.

The menus are, however, merely suggestions and you are free to make changes as desired. Accordingly, menu prices will change with every adjustment.

Please note that for functions up to 120 pax (maximum 150 pax*), we offer sit-down and buffet menu. Above 120 pax, only buffet menu will be provided.

*However, with some adjustments to our set menus, sit-down dinner can be provided up to a maximum of 150 pax.

Beverages will be arranged according to your requirement.

6. Seating Capacity

Our existing canopy can accommodate comfortably 210 guests. Click on Seating Arrangements to visualise some proposed table layouts.

7. Entertainment

Basic accommodation for function comes with background music and a PA system from Ciao. Upon request, we can also provide services such as mobile disco and a D.J., projector, special lights effect, band, and others which you can add into your wedding itinerary at additional cost.

Entertainment Terms and Conditions

  1. Disco music may be played until 1 a.m. only, after that only soft background music is permitted.
  2. If you wish to continue dancing / entertainment after 1 a.m., an extra charge of RM 500.00nett per hour will apply.
  3. Should you hire your entertainment company, the company must provide all the entertainment equipment needed. Ciao's own equipment is not available in part for use by outside companies, and they will also be held responsible for any damage that might occur to our premises. Please advice your D.J. or band of our terms and conditions.
  4. We reserve the right to act accordingly if these are not observed.
  5. Techno music is strictly not allowed.

8. Photography and Video

Engaging a professional wedding photographer is an invaluable asset for your wedding day. For photography and videography services, we suggest you liaise directly with our recommended studio.
