Open since 1991, Ciao is the only Italian restaurant (outside hotel
establishments) which is still standing strong, adapting with amazing
grace to the development of the KL cityscape and its urban lifestyle.
Located in a colonial bungalow along the bustling Jalan Tun Razak,
the restaurant is an escape to serenity for the well informed, a hideaway
with a large garden, pleasant parking convenience and friendly staff.
The chef
From Venice, armed with experience in a few luxury hotels of his birth
city and the few years spent in between London and Paris, chef and
co-owner, Rudy Stecca, came to Malaysia in 1995 and took over the
direction of the restaurant in 1999.
Despite the modernisation of the food industry in Kuala Lumpur, Rudy
and his team have been revamping Ciao these years while maintaining
its aura as the destination for those who appreciate genuine Italian
food in it's own simple way. |
